Hello all!
This Saturday in New Orleans will be the first year of the highly anticipated Street Fare Derby!! Of course Lola deux will be there selling food, plus 14 other food trucks and pop-up restaurants. We are so excited to be apart of the event! The Street Fare Derby hopes to raise awareness to the community about the importance of food trucks and people moving forward and thinking outside of the box. We are so proud to be a part of this movement in our awesome city of New Orleans.
We have been bringing Lola deux to different events on the NorthShore these past few months. You can find us at the local Covington farmers market, festivals, music events & we hope soon the Abita brewing company just outside of Abita city limits.
I am curious about your city and where you can find food trucks there? I would love for you to share any ideas or locations with us!
If you find yourself in New Orleans this Saturday had over to the race track and pick up your $15 ticket and enjoy the culture and street food from our awesome city!!

How can we get Lola salad dressing on the Shelves??
Any ideas out there how we can put Lola's yummy cranberry salad dressing in the stores?
Lola deux and the wednesday night concert series
Tomorrow marks the third wed we have been at the Covington Trailhead concert series. The past two weeks have been a great sucess!!! I'm a little upset because the the "Lady" mc of the event refuses to mention our truck when she screams out how important it is to support local business. This brings me to my first question is having a food truck not a real business? I think it is my tax dollars sure think it is. For some reason this "lady" has some beef out for the deux! Whether or not she likes us the people in the community sure seem to enjoy the truck! Anyway, if you live in the area you need to stop by the Rockin the Rails event held every Wed from 5:00 to 7:30pm at the Covington Trailhead.

Spring is here!
Hello Spring....Finally! The birds are singing, flowers are blooming and the Lola deck is full of happy people enjoying a great lunch! We love this time of year when we can keep the front door open and there always seems to be an overflow of eager customers.
Dinner for a while seemed to be a well kept secret in Covington, but we have quickly picked up with visitors actually crossing the bridge to join us :) The past year we realized people are looking for a place to nibble on some food and get a great drink. We offer a "Happy Hour" from 5:30 to 7:30 on the weekends.
Enough about Lola :) Let's talk about our new venture Lola deux! We joined the food truck nation! At first we wanted to take Lola deux out on the streets late night to feed the hungry, bar lovin customers, but we were stopped in our tracks when we were told that was illegal. Parking and selling on public streets was a no no in Covington, but we weren't going to take no for an answer. We were able to get some laws changed in our favor and Lola deux was on a roll. We go out and park around local bars in Covington on an occasion after dinner, but the real crowds build when local events are happening in town. Rockin the Rails at the Covington trail head has been great exposure for us. We bring out the truck from 5 till 8 and sell out!! It's a free concert event with families and the after work crowd lining the grassy trail head area. You can also spot Lola deux parked at the Saturday farmers market on occasion.
You are probably wondering what in the HEll are you serving out of this truck?? Well we still keep true to what we do at Lola by keeping our food fresh, simple and local. We serve pulled pork sandwiches, pork tacos with pico and guac, blackened redfish tacos and of course our famous white truffle Parmesan fries. We try and change up the menu options depending on where we are parked. The great thing about our truck is when we sell out we can pack up and bring her home. We are also offering catering from the truck, we pull up to your location and you could have this COOL truck at your party!
I hope everyone has a great weekend and keep on truckin!!
